Watford vs. Liverpool predictions, betting tips and preview for the Monday night match in the Premier League. Liverpool travels to Watford in their quest to keep hold of their current spot in the top 4. The match will kick off at 8.00 BST at Vicary Road. Below you can find all our predictions and betting tips.
Watford vs. Liverpool Preview & Team News
In all fairness one can only respect Watford. Before the season started Watford was tipped among the teams that would have a hard time avoiding relegation football, but they have done so all season. With one of the smallest budgets, and in my opinion also one of the least sexy squads, the team has consistently collected points. No winning streaks, no losing streaks, just steady sailing. Currently sitting 11th in the table, their last games decide if this will be a good season in which the club easily avoided relegation, or a great season in which they manage to clinch a top 8 spot.
Tonight versus Liverpool, coach Mazzarri has to deal with several injuries. Cathcart, Kaboul, Zarate, Pereyra and Watson are expected to be unavailable.
Liverpool saw a good run stopped last week at home by Crystal Palace, and missed a chance to keep control over a top 4 finish. With 4 matches left, and 4 teams in contention for 2 Champions League, Liverpool can’t afford any hick ups anymore really. A third consecutive win on the road would make life a lot easier. Especially since compared to Arsenal and Manchester United, the Reds do have a favorable program for the remainder of the season though.
Jurgen Klopp is unlucky that one of his top performers this season, Sadio Mane will be ruled out of tonight’s game. Also out will be Henderson, Ejaria, Ings and Bogdan. Sturridge and Klavan will undergo late fitness tests to see if they can play. On a positive note: Adam Lallana will be back in the squad tonight.

Watford vs. Liverpool Betting Predictions
Liverpool, who saw a 7 match streak without losing being disrupted by Crystal Palace last week, will have a hand full tonight. Apart from the general struggles Liverpool has on the road, Watford is a strong home team. They owe its vast majority of points to their strong performances at Vicary Road, and won their last three in front of their home crowd.
Liverpool on the other hand, despite winning their last 2 away matches, tend to spill points on the road. Obviously the Reds are the main favorite to take the 3 points home, but that doesn’t count for a lot. Go ask Pep and Mou after yesterday’s matches.
Although Watford has nothing on the line, that 6-1 away defeat earlier this season must still be hurting. Watford also want to try and make it into the top half of the standings. Between 8th and 16th spot in the standing is a gap of just 6 points, and Watford is in the middle of this. With a decent run the could even make 8th spot, a bad run will lead to a bottom table finish just shy of relegation.
My best betting tip for Watford vs Liverpool is Watford not to lose.
