Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has denied the FA charge over his media comments following United’s draw with Spurs.
The Scot was charged with misconduct by the FA after he made remarks about linesman Simon Beck’s refusal to give United a penalty after Wayne Rooney was tripped in the Spurs box by defender Steven Caulker.
The FA states that the United manager breached FA Rule E3 in that he implied that the match official was motivated by bias.
Ferguson has requested a paper hearing, and the date will be set in a few days time.
