Juventus issue warning to Manchester United about Januzaj

Juventus GM Beppe Marotta has warned Manchester United that they can expect another case like Paul Pogba if the English club do not sign Adnan Januzaj for a long-term contract.

Januzaj, 18, scored two goals in his first start for United as the Champions came from behind to win 2-1 against Sunderland last weekend.

The Brussels born winger made an impact on United's pre-season tour in the summer, and has earned rave reviews for his performances this season.

Januzaj's contract, however, is set to expire in the summer, and with just eight months left on his current deal the club are in the process of offering the teenage prodigy a new and improved contract.

The Belgian's performances have not been missed by the Europe's elite football clubs, and he has been linked with moves to Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus.

Juventus GM Marotta revealed that if Januzaj leaves United then the Red Devils are to be blamed for his departure.

"They fear another Pogba case?

"They are right, but frankly I do not understand how they can come to having just months left on the player's contract with no sign of renewing," taunted Marotta in Tuttosport.

The Old Lady signed Paul Pogba from United in the summer of 2012, and the Frenchman has since established himself in the side.
