Chelsea host their west-London rivals Queens Park Rangers on Saturday in a match that has delivered very mixed results over their past few meetings.
Match Preview – Chelsea will be bolstered by the return of striker Diego Costa who will be eager to get back among the goals. Chelsea will be without the injured Loic Remy and John Obi Mikel as well as the suspended Cesar Azpilicueta. Branislav Ivanovic will be available for selection having served his one match suspension. Ramires may also return to the squad for the Blues having recovered from his injury. Queens Park Rangers will be without Jordon Mutch and Joey Barton who are both still recovering from hamstring injuries.
Costa is likely to lead the line for the Blues despite Didier Drogba having scored 3 goals in his last three Chelsea matches in the absence of the injured Costa and Remy. The Spaniard despite having missed the last two league matches remains the top goal scorer in the Premier League with nine goals. Filpe Luis is likely to start at left-back ahead of the suspended Azpilicueta.
Adel Taarabt will be hoping to return to the starting line-up to face the Blues on Saturday, having resolved his off the pitch issues with manager Harry Redknapp.
Chelsea will be hoping to return to their winning ways after a disappointing result at Old Trafford last weekend. Chelsea are currently four points clear at the top of the league table and their opposition are in 19th place. However, Jose Mourinho’s men will not enter into this match overconfident with the Blues having lost four points against the Rangers in the 2012/2013 season.
